We get these questions a lot.
Here are our best answers...
If you want to be a leader in the film industry and create your own work, while having a confidence in your ability to do so, then this is definitely for you.
If you just want to work on other people’s films and be told what to do, while you help them build their vision and dreams then this is probably not a fit.
The real question is…
Do you want to take control of your film career and have the ability to define it for yourself or are you willing to leave that up to chance and hope that maybe one day someone else will give you a break?
This is not a film school for technicians who just want to work on films, this is for the artists and visionaries who want to get their ideas made and in doing so… find their voices and express them creatively in the world.
Any investment you make is worth it if you get in return what you wanted or more. So, this will be as valuable as you are willing to utilize it.
If you are ready to get results and you are willing to apply the strategies and methods that you learn you have the potential to get a massive return on what you put in… in a very short time.
This education will give you everything you need to make a massive impact in the world, but you have to be willing to actually use it.
Traditional film school can cost upwards of $50,000 dollars and you might not even get to make your own film throughout your time in it.
This is much more cost effective and by the end of it you will have a calling card from what you create.
You can literally begin with no experience what-so-ever and simply show up day one with just a pen and paper.
All you have to be willing to do is put in a little bit of time towards following the instruction and taking action on the step by step plans that are designed for you.
All the blocks or struggles that you may experience along the way have already been mapped out for you and there are strategies provided for how to deal with each of them.
You are working with people who understand what you are going through because they have been there as well and they get it.
If you have a good attitude and the will to try, we have your back every step of the way.
While doing it yourself is always an option…
Are you willing to invest a lot of your time and money in the inevitable process of learning through trial and error by making common mistakes along the way you otherwise wouldn’t have to?
If you are like most people you will get discouraged along the way and feel a sense of frustration because you don’t know what has gone wrong or why your projects are not really working out the way you want them to.
Discovering that you could have used guidance, mentorship and direction after you depleted your savings and lost years or more of your time can be a painful experience for anyone.
We encourage you to make your own films and have the courage to step out on your own, but while you do that, you don’t have to feel alone!
Learning how to actually make a film, write a script or even what it takes to act on set are important things to understand… no matter what creative role you have on the project.
What is most important is not just understanding how to do it, but how you’ll do it.
This is about more than just learning techniques and formulas for success.
This is about developing a creative process as an artist and putting it in to action to test if it works for you personally.
Real learning is made through actually doing something, not just thinking about it or talking about it.
These courses will launch you into action immediately and if you struggle you’ll have guidance and mentorship to help you out.
If you join and within a month you don’t see the value you can have your money back in full.
The only mistake would be not enrolling now because you’ll be kicking yourself later for the time you wasted in hesitation on what matters most.
This is literally a no-lose situation for you.
Unlike other online film schools, if we accept you into the program we will let you experience the quality of what we have to offer…
…and if you still have doubts you can walk away not having spent a dollar.
This is so value packed we know you won’t walk away once you’ve started.
The money is available, it’s just a matter of how creative you are willing to be to get it.
This is one of those challenges that every creative person faces at some point, but if you want to have a career in the arts you must never make the lack of money an excuse, or you will never cut it.
Instead, think of your options and consider what you could do to make what you want possible.
What could you give up for a short period of time that is costing you something, but will have nothing to show for it at the end of the day?
Keep in mind, this is an investment in you and figuring it out is saying you are worth it.
If you just want to work in the film industry as a crew member or playing bit parts as an actor then maybe traditional film school is good for you.
They will give you a little letter grade to qualify your work, instead of relying on the only judge that matters, your audience.
You might even get a little certificate at the end of it that you can show people to prove your “qualifications”.
Of course that won’t matter because nobody cares about that in the film industry. All they care about is what you can do and how well you show up. If you want to arrive on set as a film student go to traditional film school.
If you truly want to show up as a leader and create something in the film industry, we are here to help you make that a reality.
You are learning processes, strategies, systems with tried and true methods that get world class results.
This is an education that not only comes from the real life experience of actually doing it, but you will get guidance and mentorship along the way.
Very little energy is spent on theory, like it would be in (out-dated) traditional film school models.
That kind of thing you can get from a book for $15 dollars and it is just there to pad their course load and make you feel like you are getting more out of it… We don’t do that here.
In this film school everyone creates and they begin creating immediately. (if you want “how to theory” books to read, we’ll suggest them, but you won’t find what we teach in a book).
It works because you will actually be doing it and in taking real action, getting results is inevitable.
You don’t need anything if you have enough will power and energy to go after what you want.
It’s not a matter of need, it’s a matter of what your time is worth and how valuable it is to get better results faster.
It is a matter of how much energy you are willing to give up for the unavoidable trial and error mistakes that inevitably get made when you are figuring it all out on your own.
It’s a matter of how much time and energy you are willing to spend on common problems that others have already sorted out.
We are here to empower you to become whatever it is you want to be in the film industry.
This is here to help you do it better and faster!
The fact that you create immediately and get real world experience to learn from.
Nothing provides better feedback than reality and that is what you get, real world feedback.
Other traditional film schools often only test their students “in theory” and not everyone gets the chance to create their own work.
In Breakthrough Film School you learn by doing it and instead of generalized instruction you get direct mentorship and guidance as an artist.
We treat you like the visionary you are and can be.
This is not just about the courses you do, it’s about the future of where they help take you.
Absolutely. I have over 20 years of experience in the film industry as a filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and producer.
I have made my own productions doing all of those roles (writer, actor director & producer) at once and learned how to navigate them.
I have directed other people’s films as well and learned how to turn my imagination into reality with them.
I have acted on network television, been in feature films and acted in plays.
I have written over 30 screenplays so far myself, co-written others with writing partners and managed writing teams for television and web-series.
Most film school teachers out there don’t have half the experience I have, nor do they teach they way I do and my students have gotten rewarded highly from doing these courses.
Unless you know where and how to use your money effectively to make your film you will likely overspend in unnecessary areas and not get as much out of every dollar you invest in it.
This could even cause you to go over budget and end up with an underwhelming product that just leaves you disappointed, when all you had to do was get some direction and mentorship.
Doing so would have saved you far more money in the end and landed you with far better results in your film work.
It is admirable to have the courage to step out on your own, but film is a collaborative medium and no matter what you’ll need a team.
Everyone has the same amount of time in the day, it is just a matter of what they do with it.
How much time are you wasting doing things that give you nothing substantial back?
Where do you think your life leads in 5, 10, 20 years if you keep giving up your attention to things that only distract you?
What if you greatly limited or even cut out your time spent with social media, TV watching or any bad habit that you have?
Could you find 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes of time in the day to put towards developing yourself and your dreams?
Of course you can, anyone can, so at the end of the day all that will matter is wether you did it or not.
